چکیده

Globally, deep-water reservoir systems are comprised of a variety traps. Lateral and downdip trapping features include sand pinch-outs, truncation against salt or shale diapirs, monoclinal dip faulting with any combination designs; the potential for massive hydrocarbon accumulations exists, representing significant exploration prospects across planet. However, turbidites submarine fans two different types traps, which developed along upslope basin floor fans. Among these most prolific traps as they not influenced by sea-level rise, distorts seismic signals, hence provides ambiguous signatures to predict them hydrocarbon-bearing zones future explorations. Therefore, channel-levee sandstone define economically viable stratigraphic plays. The subsurface variability is significant, hence, characterizing thick (porous) channelized-basin challenge exploitation hydrocarbons. This study aims develop seismic-based attributes wedge modeling tools accurately resolve characterize porous gas-bearing reservoirs using high-resolution profiles, in SW Pakistan. reflection strength slices better delineate geomorphology sand-filled compared instant frequency magnitudes. prospect has an area 1180 km2. sweetness magnitudes thickness 33 m, faults, lithofacies that complete vital petroleum system. also acts direct indicator (DHI) and, should be incorporated into conventional schemes de-risking prospects. model resolves 26-m lens lateral distribution ~64 km. this ~75% correlation LSL measured serves top seal 930 mud-filled canyons 1190 bottom ~10 evidence presence vibrant play. Hence, their reveals bright opportunities exploit scheme inside OIB other similar global depositional systems.

On the Compaction and Viscous Behavior of Deep-Water Reservoirs

There have been many studies on reservoir compaction where different mechanisms being suggested as the reasons behind the integrity of unconsolidated reservoirs during production. Theory of poroelasticity is often used to evaluate the likelihood of compaction under these circumstances, but it is often failed to explain the creep behavior of unconsolidated formations. In this study, attempts are...

A Review of Reservoir Rock Typing Methods in Carbonate Reservoirs: Relation between Geological, Seismic, and Reservoir Rock Types

Carbonate reservoirs rock typing plays a pivotal role in the construction of reservoir static models and volumetric calculations. The procedure for rock type determination starts with the determination of depositional and diagenetic rock types through petrographic studies of the thin sections prepared from core plugs and cuttings. In the second step of rock typing study, electrofacies are deter...

3D and 4D Seismic Data Integration in Static and Dynamic Reservoir Modeling: A Review

Reservoir modeling is the process of generating numerical representations of reservoir conditions and properties on the basis of geological, geophysical, and engineering data measured on the Earth’s surface or in depth at a limited number of borehole locations. Therefore, reservoir modeling requires an incorporation of the data from a variety of sources, along with an integration of knowledge a...
